On Monday, the court heard call records and information obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test during the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most widely reported missing child cases and continues to be unresolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

Another recorded message, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I understand I'm fat and unattractive like Madeleine had been, but I know what I feel."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's answerphone expressed: "What if there is a small chance that I am she? What happens next? Isn't that significant for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I maintain a existence here in Poland, I only wish to know," the message continued.

The tribunal was told that by means of electronic messages, mobile messages and calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who gathered the evidence, told the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to family friends of the McCanns, based on the phone records.

On 9 October 2024, Gerry McCann responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a voicemail on Mrs McCann's answerphone stating "I will persist and I will prove my position."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg developed a association online with Ms Wandelt prior to accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' property in the county in last December.

Phone records showed Mrs Spragg had communicated through WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the media had depicted Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she ought to be treated respectfully in the time leading up to the visit to the village, that area, in last December.

The court learned correspondence between the two defendants, in that autumn, considering endeavoring to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from silverware at a restaurant.

"We need to assert ourselves," Mrs Spragg informed Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the visit to their house, the defendant sent a text which stated: "We're currently positioned outside the McCanns' home with our lights out like investigators. I desired to achieve this with another person I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The trial proceeds.
